In this initial phase, we focus on establishing a mobile presence to reach those in immediate need. This approach allows us to begin making a difference in our community quickly while laying the groundwork for more comprehensive services.
We will secure a P.O. Box which will enable us to provide our clients with a secure mailing address for necessary paperwork
This mobile unit will serve as our first point of contact with the homeless population, allowing us to meet them where they are and begin building trust.
Wee will assist homeless individuals in navigating complex social services processes, including applications for food stamps, Medicaid, and cash benefits. Our trained staff will provide guidance and support throughout these often overwhelming bureaucratic procedures, ensuring that eligible individuals can access the resources they need.
Facilitate access to temporary housing by helping clients complete necessary paperwork and meet housing search requirements. We will work closely with local shelters and housing agencies to identify available options and advocate for our clients.
Provide access to computers for job searches and other essential online tasks. In today's digital age, internet access is crucial for finding employment, accessing services, and staying connected. Our mobile unit will be equipped with laptops and Wi-Fi to bridge this digital divide.
As part of our Phase 1 initiatives, we have implemented a dinner program to address immediate nutritional needs in our community. This program, spearheaded by Tana, our Chief Operating Officer, and assisted by Alycia, serves homeless and needy families in Saratoga Springs. Alycia has taken the initiative to implement the Edward Dennis program, further enhancing our ability to serve those in need.
